  1. The Fruitland Chamber of Commerce College Scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior from Fruitland that will attend Wor-Wic Community College.  The first annual scholarship was awarded in the fall of 2009 to Caroline Kramer.  The scholarship fund has been established with the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

  2. The Fruitland Chamber beautifies the City by providing seasonal flags along Main Street.

  3. The Fruitland Chamber holds ribbon cutting ceremonies for new businesses in the City.

  4. Community Recognition awards are presented each year at the Annual Banquet in November.  The awards include Officer of the Year, Firefighter of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year, and Unsung Hero Award.  Nominations for the awards are accepted in September.  The most recent recipients are:
  • 2011 Citizen of the Year – Paula Brown
  • 2011 Police Officer of the Year – Brian Beaver
  • 2011 Business of the Year – Chicago Uno’s/Rommel Holding Co.
  • 2011 Unsung Hero – Jay Disharoon (Atlantic Lighting)
  • 2011 Fireman of the Year - Tracey Green
